A serving senator James Manager was seen kneeling before James Ibori in a photograph. James Manager is the current Senator representing the Delta South Senatorial District. James Ibori on the other hand is a former Governor of Delta State.
The picture has since gone viral. Many people who saw the picture were shocked that Senator James would kneel before Ibori. It is important to remind the readers that James Ibori is no longer the Governor of the State.
Many people have already reacted to the picture and it is gradually becoming the "talk of the day". However, in this article we would consider three possible reasons why the Senator knelt down before Ibori.
It may interest you to know that some people remain humble despite their positions and accomplishments. I believe the Senator is a very humble individual. Not many people would do what the Senator did and he should be commended.
Some Local Government Chairmen would not display this kind of humility. This should teach us to remain humble matter how high God lifts you.
Mr James Ibori
The Senator may have proven that he has respect for elders. Although he is an elderly man himself, he still regards those that are older than he is. It may interest you to know that James Ibori is only one year older than Senator Manager.
I was moved when I saw the pictures. It reminded me that no matter how old I become, I should still have respect for the elders in the society.
Senator James Manager
3 Repaying a favor
It is possible that James Ibori had helped the Senator in the past. Maybe he assisted him when he was still a 'nobody'. He might have come back like the one leper in the bible to say thank you.
It is very important that people remember those that contributed to their success.
Do you think the Senator did the right thing?
Do you think he should have knelt before Ibori?
