Tinubu Acknowledged PDP As Result-oriented - Atiku's Camp

The camp of the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu’s visit to Rivers State. Atiku’s aide, Daniel Bwala, said Tinubu has acknowledged PDP as a result-oriented party by commissioning projects in Rivers State.
He described Tinubu’s commissioning of projects as his first official assignment as President-elect.

The President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu says he is happy for emerging victorious in the recently concluded presidential election despite the gruesome campaign. Tinubu who spoke on Wednesday while commissioning the Rumuokwuta/Rumuola flyover in Port Harcourt said he fought hard during the campaign. He, however, said despite the hurdles and campaigns against him by the opposition party, he won the election.
The president-elect said, “It is an honour and privilege to be in your midst today. I am a very happy man. Happy because I went through a gruesome campaign, fought hard, supported by many of you, and I won”.
FG Introduces New Taxes On Beer, Imported Vehicle, Plastics

The Nigerian government has approved the implementation of the 2023 fiscal policy measures and revised excise duty rates on alcoholic beverages, cigarettes and tobacco products. The government also introduced excise duty on single-use plastics. Under the newly introduced taxes, the federal government will charge N75 per litre of beer, stout or wine imported into Nigeria.
The disclosure was contained in a Circular (HMFBNP/MDAs/circular/2023 FP/04) dated 20 April 2023, and signed by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed. Taiwo Oyedele of PricewaterhouseCoopers on his official Twitter page highlighted the details of the new tax regime contained in the new Fiscal Policy Measures (FPM) documents and approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Edo Govt Dissolves Executive Council

The Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, on Wednesday, dissolved the State Executive Council. In a press statement by Special Adviser, Media Project to Obaseki, Crusoe Osagie, the governor expressed appreciation to members of the council for their service to the government and people of the State.
