Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa who is a human rights lawyer of SAN has come out to state that the 1999 constitution does not permit the domination of one ethnic group over others and also recognizes the principles of power spread. He further said that disagreement of power shift to the south by the 19 governors is insensitive and unreasonable. The lawyer made this known to the public while been interviewed by Channels television.
He further said that the Northern governors have met this year and have opposed the power shift while the southern governors met two times this year and have endorsed power shift. The Northern governors have said that the candidate with the highest number of votes would become the next president. The chairman of the Northern governors forum whose name is Simon Lalong condemned the agenda of the Southerners to zone presidency go the south.
