The Presidency has revealed the reason why Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka asked for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari, revealing that Mbaka is aggrieved because Buhari refused to award him contracts.
On Friday, April 30, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, disclosed that Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka is not who people think he is, stating that the clergyman started opposing President Buhari when his request to get Federal Government contracts was turned down.
Few days ago, the convener of Adoration Ministries in Enugu, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, who was once a staunch supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari back in 2015, came out to ask the president to resign, stating that God instructed him to withdraw his support for President Buhari and prophesy against him.
Following the request made by the clergyman, Garba Shehu in a statement titled 'Father Mbaka is everything apart from what he claims to be' revealed that Father Mbaka turned his back against the President because he was denied contracts. The presidential aide disclosed that Mbaka asked for a meeting with the President, and after he was allowed into the presidential villa in Abuja, Mbaka came in with three contractors asking for contracts as compensation.
" To everyone’s surprise, Father Mbaka asked for contracts as compensation for his support" he wrote.
Garba Shehu also noted that President Buhari rejected the request made by the clergyman because it was not in accordance with the modules operandi surrounding awarding of contracts, which according to him is "eating Father Mbaka."
