Some concerned members of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) in Ondo State, led by Barr Konstant Timi Olopele, have asked the High Court of Ondo to disqualify Hon. The Deputy Governor of Ondo, Agboola Ajayi, of the Government Primary of the PDP, scheduled for 22 July 2020.The suit was dated July 17, 2020 with suit no: AK/45M/2020.
They argued that Ajayi acted in breach of Section 1., 5th Schedule, Part 1 of the Code of Conduct for Public Officials and Section 9 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
They also requested the court to disqualify Ajayi because it allegedly breached the Law of the West African Examination Council ( WAEC), the Law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Cap W4) 2004 and the attendance of the Nigerian Law School as the then elected chairman of the Council and former member of the Federal House of Representatives.
