The executive governor of Plateau state, Simon lalong has once again broken his silence. While addressing worshippers at an interdenominational church service organised at the government house on Sunday, the Plateau state governor decried calls for Nigeria break-up by Secessionists.
Lalong who appeared disturbed, appealed to Nigerians not to allow the current challenges facing the country to overshadow the successes recorded in the nation in the past.
All secessionists should know that breaking up will not change the situation of things in the country. As far as I'm concerned, Lalong's advice is valid. There is no guarantee that if the country is divided, each regions will fare better than they are faring now.
The major challenge facing the country at large is not the name "Nigeria", it is the bad leadership from our leaders who we all elected in position of power. The federal government does not have all it takes to take care of all the challenges facing the country at large, we have state governors, local government chairman who are not carrying out their duties efficiently.
Rather than agitating for secession, we should all come together as a nation and proffer solutions to all the challenges facing us as a nation.
