Joe Igbokwe speaks on why his house was burnt down

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Drainage and Water Resources, Engineer Joe Igbokwe, has revealed the reason for the recent attack on his house in Anambra State.

He stated that the burning of his building was part of the price he had to pay for speaking against violence in Igboland. He said the burning of his house was an attempt to silence him.

Igbokwe had blamed the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) for the burning of his building.

Speaking further, he said dialogue and not violence is the best way to achieve desired goals in the Southeast.

The Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor, while speaking with Channels Television in Lagos on Sunday, October 17, 2021, said," On why my house was torched, I have been an advocate of dialogue, it is not everything one achieves through violence. That is why they attacked my house, to gag me: though nobody died, just material things were destroyed. And I said if that is going to be the sacrifice I am going to pay for things to be okay, then let it be", Igbokwe submitted.
