A prominent PDP leader and the former chief whip of the first Senate, Se. Victor Kassim Oyofo, has expressed his concerns regarding the actions of the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, after his loss at the PDP primary. During his interview on AIT News, Sen. Kassim made revelations concerning Wike's motives while questioning his end game.
Addressing the topic, Sen. Kassim said, "Keep in mind the type of human who betrays his own home when you examine the ringleader of this agitation, Nyesom Wike." It is true that he ran for the PDP presidential ticket, and he fought hard for it, but he lost. Everyone knows that politics is a game, and Wike has shown his ability to resist. However, what is his end game?
He added, "Governor Wike claims to be a PDP member." Why does Governor Wike want to destroy the PDP if he claims to be one of our members? I wonder if this is not suspicious or shows an inhuman motive. Supposing Wike had won, would other people not cooperate with him? Wike is a young man who still has future opportunities. We need to question the motives and ideas of these aggrieved leaders. I do not think that Gov. Wike is the alpha and omega in Rivers State, as those who put him in office are still in the PDP. I wonder if he can now claim that the PDP votes in Rivers State will come through his office. I do not think so.
