In light of today's Supreme Court ruling in favour of President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima, Chief Fani-Kayode, one of the president-elect's spokesmen, expressed hope that the Obidients' insatiable desire for power would finally be sated.
This was announced via a tweet from Fani-Kayode's verified account.
You may remember that Atiku Abubakar and the PDP went to court to have Tinubu and Shettima disqualified for the double nomination of Kashim Shettima. A separate individual from the party (APC) cannot do that, though, and the Supreme Court ruled as much earlier today.
You may also remember that the Labour Party and Peter Obi have challenged the results of the presidential election held on February 25th, which have Bola Ahmed Tinubu elected as president.
After today's Supreme Court ruling, APC leader Fani-Kayode reacted,
Atiku and the PDP's frivolous lawsuit has been thrown out by the Supreme Court. Because they were unable to intimidate or compromise the Judges, I'm sure he and his crew are in tears right now.
We triumphed, and Tinubu emerged victorious, once more. To God be the glory. Hopefully this will finally satisfy the Obidients' and the Atikulators' insatiable hunger for power.
