A Medical Doctor Shared His Experience At The Immigration Office, Says "There's Always No Paper"

Nigeria Immigration Service is the governemnt agency saddled with the responsibility of providing international passport with which one can initiate travel documents.

Due to the number of people seeking for international passport for one purpose or another, there is always huge number of applicants at all any given time. The situation has been pathetic for years with no remedy in sight.

The cost for this passport even is usually outrageous, even though the official cost may not be half as it eventually cost. From the gate, you can see the squabble for 'customers' which is a very indicator that the individual has something to gain.

A popular medical doctor just took to his Twitter handle recently to share some tips about the high level of corruption among some Nigerians who work within the organisation. He said: "There's always no paper at the passport office, but if you rub some palms, paper will come out immediately. Crooks."

Other people who have also had their own fare share of the high handedness shared their thoughts below

One commented saying "It’s the same with Nigerians everywhere. Took me eight months to get my passport because I decided to go by the books instead of rubbing palms. I mean we can only blame the government for so much, we the people are our own biggest problem!"

Another said: "Very soon we will start paying for card for COVID VACCINE"

A third added: "Going to Immigration office, from the gate to the door you're to enter, officials will be calling you to know what you're there for. No respect for their duty.

All hustling like people without salary.

A few good ones though."
