The Human Right Writers Association Of Nigeria, HURIWA has called for dismissal, arrest and trial of the minister of culture and information. Minister Lai Muhammad for alleged falsehood about what transpired in the Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos State on October 20, 2020 where peaceful protesters gets arrested and violated by the security operatives. It was reported by Punch Newspaper few minutes ago.
The association claimed that the minister lied to Nigerian about the October 20 incident, adding that his claim contradicted to what the Lagos State panel of judges revealed few hours ago. The investigating panel revealed some of the darkest truth about the incident.
This was reported in a statement issued against the backdrop of the conclusive Judge Panel result by the Lagos State Panel of investigation about the Lekki Toll Gate incident.
This is may not be a valid threat to the federal government or even Lai Muhammad himself because things doesn't always goes as planned with the Human Right Writers. They need a very concrete evidence to win such case against someone who is very much connected to the federal government.
