Check out photos from first "Tarawih" prayers in Mecca and Medina.

The holy month of Ramadan is here again and Muslims across the world are celebrating these lovely moments. In the two holy sites, the usual Tarawih prayer started yesterday without any hitches.

Sheikh Baleelah and Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sudais led the prayers in Mecca while Sheikh Hammed and Sheikh Buayjaan led the prayers in the Prophet's Mosque in Medina.

The rules of social distancing and other relevant protocols are still in place. Only Muslims who had collected their dose of vaccines were allowed entry into the holy mosques to perform the prayer.

The Tarawih prayers are very important to a Muslim in the month of Ramadan. As such, every Muslim is enjoined to participate in it.

In other news relating to the holy mosques, the authorities have started that visitors to the two Holy Mosques have to arrive and enter wearing their masks. They have to maintain social distancing, avoid large gatherings, use the available hand sanitizers, and should regularly wash their hands.

We say Ramadan Mubarak to our Muslim readers.
