Basket Mouth Reacts To Bishop Oyedepo's Teachings On Tithes, Condemns Oyedepo's Teachings
The resent message on tithe by Bishop David Oyedepo, General Overseer of Living Faith Church World Wild has sparked so much reactions. Among those who have condemned Bishop Oyedepo's teachings is the popular comedian, Basket mouth.
Bishop oyedepo in a tweet yesterday, admonished christians to pay their tithes, he said any christian that does not pay tithe is under financial course.
Many bible scholars have criticized his teaching on tithes as describing it as archaic and misleading for self aggrandizement, notable among them is daddy freeze.
Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basket Mouth, on reacting to the message by Bishop Oyedepo, described the world as unfair, he said government will threaten to prosecute you if you don't pay your tax and vat, the church will also threaten you with course if you don't pay your tithes as bad as the economy is
"THIS LIFE NO BALANCE AT ALL!! The government will threaten us with prosecution if we don't pay our TAX & VAT. The CHURCH will now threaten us with a FINANCIAL CURSE if you don't pay your TITHE! Inside the TERRIBLE ECONOMY? With the LEVEL OF UNEMPLOYMENT? ABEGIIIIII!!!!!"
Many of Basket Mouth's fans who reacted to his post, supported him in criticizing Bishop Oyedepo.
