Narrated Malik (RA): We came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and we were young men nearly of equal ages and we stayed with him for twenty nights.
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) was a very kind man and when he realized our longing for our families, he asked us about those whom we had left behind. When we informed him, he said, "Go back to your families and stay with them and teach them (religion) and order them (to do good deeds).
The Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned things some of which I remembered and some I did not. Then he said, "Pray as you have seen me praying, and when it is the time of prayer, one of you should pronounce the call (Adhan) for the prayer and the eldest of you should lead the prayer."
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 95, Hadith 1)
What a beautiful Hadith! When travelling or away from our families we miss them and long for them. This wonderful reminder reminds us to teach them and be an example to them at all times, especially in the prayer. During this time when many are at home together, use it wisely to set an example to your family. May we all remain steadfast in our prayer and efforts - Ameen!
Thank you for reading and have a blessed day, say Alhamdulilah and share it to others before you leave and gain some rewards!
Love & Duas.
