How to connect with The 'I Am'

A believer is expected to possess the ability to connect with the great I AM.

Let us see a place where the name I AM was first introduced.

Exodus 3

[13]And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come into the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your father's hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, what is his name? What shall I day unto them?

[14] And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM, hath sent me unto you.

God has been called so many names like Jehovah, but the first time He introduced Himself, He said I AM, THAT I AM. You might be wondering that, what does this name means. God is simply telling us that, I am he who cannot be described. He is a God that does things in an unexplainable way.

Before the great I AM came to the rescue of the Israelites, the people were accustomed to bondage in the land of Egypt, by the Egyptians. But when God heard their cry, The great I AM showed up and rescued them from the hands of the Egyptians. So beloved, God is not far from answering your prayers. When it seems that, the promises of God is not coming to pass, you need to engage the I AM, THAT I AM.

Before you can connect with the great I AM, you must do these things;

1. You must know God personally. You must be able to know all that belongs to you on the basis of what the death of Jesus Christ has worked for you.

That the communication of thy faith may be effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6).

2. You have to personally practice the act of the burning bush. That is, a profitable loneliness. You need to create time alone with God, so that you can encounter God, through praying, studying and meditating on the scriptures.
