Ordaining and anointing a prophet or a man of God has been in existence since the time of the Bible. When God has chosen a man to serve him, it’s a common practice that he has to anointed by an already existing prophet. This practice still exists till date, although it seems like many are beginning to ignore the process of ordination.
Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo is a popular man of God, both in Nigeria and abroad. He has been in the work of the ministry for so many decades now. The man of God., who says is mandate is to free people from all oppression of the devil, seems to have been doing just that. The man of God who is believed to be the richest pastor in Nigeria, has grown his ministry beyond the shores of this nation.
Bishop David Oyedepo, had several mentors while he was growing in the ministry. Some of them were international ministers, while some were Nigerian pastors. One of his major mentor was Archbishop Benson Idahosa. Although Idahosa was his mentor, Oyedepo wasn’t ordained by him. The man of God was ordained by pastor E.A Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Chris Church of God. Bishop Oyedepo was ordained by pastor E.A Adeboye on the 17th of September 1983. Both men of God have had Cordial relationship over the years
