Dr Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of the Mountain Of Fire And Miracle Ministries spoke to his members on, "Angry Spirits, Angry Prayers (5)" at their Manna Water Service.
He read the book of Matthew 2:19–20 which says, "But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life."
According to him, "After heaven had deleted Herod, the angel returned to Joseph as promised, with the obituary announcement of Herod and an instruction to return to the place where the threat of Herod had made him flee. Something was very strange about that announcement. Herod was alive and reigning in Israel; therefore, Jesus could not be there with him at the same time to fulfil His destiny.
So, it took the removal of Herod to make the throne of Jesus possible, just like it took the removal of Uzziah the King to make Isaiah the messianic prophet. It took the removal of the prophets of Baal for rain to fall on the land.
He then revealed what he told a minister who prophesied on his life that enemies are sorrounding him. He said, "One day, I was in my office, and some ministers of God came to greet me. After they greeted me, they asked if they could pray for me, to which I replied, "Yes, I need prayers. I even need prayers more than you do." They prayed, and after the prayers, one of them began to prophesy: "My son, my son, hear the word of the Lord: "You are surrounded by enemies. There are so many enemies around you; therefore, be very very careful."
He then said, "So after he had finished the prophecy, I said, "Mr. Man, before you go away, I just want you to know that you did not prophesy anything. The Bible says 'I send you as sheep among wolves'". It is already in the Bible. He has told us that we are going to be surrounded by wolves.
Finally, the cleric said, "Do not mind the wolves that are in your surroundings. The power that deleted Herod is still alive to delete them. This means that there are some who will greet you with a smile, prostrate and even greet you, buy this and that for you, but in their hearts, the spirit of Herod is there. They do not mind if the person falls down and dies."
