Matthew Ashimolowo is a popular Nigerian clergyman; he is the senior pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) with its headquarters in London. He was born in Kaduna, the Northern part of Nigeria on March 17, 1952.
Born to a Muslim parents, Mathew Ashimolowo is the 4th child in a family of 5 children. He was christened Ahmed before changing it to Matthew during his conversion to Christianity in his early 20s. After his conversion, he proceeded to Bible School so as to have more knowledge of the words of God. Upon completion of his bible course, he joined the Foursquare Gospel Church where he functioned as the assistant Pastor. He later got transferred to the United Kingdom where he started off his ministry.
Matthew Ashimolowo is happily married to Yemisi Ashiomolowo and they are blessed with two sons - Tomi and Tobi Ashimolowo. The two sons are also married and doing well in their businesses.
