2 Ways By Which God Reveals His Will For Youths In Marriage

As Christians, it is important that we seek the will of God before marriage. He has a special plan for all of us and we will only get it when we seek for it. However, there are two ways by which God reveals His will for youths in marriage:

1. His Word

In the book of Psalms 119:105, the Bible made us understand that the word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. This is a good reason why you need to go through the word of God when you are looking for a life's partner. The word of God will be like a light that will show you the way to meet your life partner (which is the will of God).

Also in 2 Timothy 3: 16,17, the Bible made us understand that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and it is profitable for instruction in righteousness. As a righteous man, you need to read the Bible and let it be profitable unto you when you are making such a decision. There are a lot of instructions you need in the Bible and all you need to do is to spend more time with it.

2. An inner voice of the Holy Spirit, prompting, directing, influencing, or checking.

In the book of John 10: 27, Jesus said that His sheep hears His voice, and he knows them, and they follow him. If you are born again, you should be able to discern the voice of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit will lead you to the right partner through different means. It could be true dreams, vision, trance, etc. What you need to do is to be attentive to the words of the Holy Spirit. His duty is to guide you from marrying the wrong person.

However, any revelation that is received must be diligently compared with the scripture. If any revelation, visions, or dreams contradict the scriptures in any way, such revelation, visions or dreams are to be rejected as false (Isaiah 8:19,20). Once the will of God is known, believers are to seek and obtain their parent's consent before going on with any further plans.
