It is a common adage that time waits for no man and whatsoever a man does should be done with the mindset of "redeeming the time." Many of these men of God, whose denominations are quite big and massive today, did not start big, they started small and during those days many of them had nothing in terms of money, luxurious cars or houses. All they had then was, the promise God gave them as regards the ministry and future prosperity.
The ministry of Pastor W.F. Kumuyi started with just 15 members who comes to his apartment at the University of Lagos to study the word of God together. They weren't after money all they wanted backed then was to know more of God.
In the same vein, Pastor E.A. Adeboye also had his own share of pains and lack in ministry while still young in the ministry. There were times there was no food to eat, but totally rely on God for his family daily bread. Thank God today, those times have become a story.
Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Oyakhilome, Apostle Johnson Suleman, Ayo Oritsejafor, and many other powerful men of God in the country have many things to say about their early ministry. They all have one common thing, this is the faith in God to fulfill what he promised them.
So, when you see them enjoying now, always remembered that they have paid their dues and they are still paying more dues to God Almighty who called them to the ministry.
Here are more photos of these great men of God during their early ministry.
