"Jesus Is Not The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah" -Abel Damina

One of the well known names of the Saviour, Jesus Christ is the 'lion of Judah'. But the founder of Abel Damina Ministry, Abel Damina in a video on YouTube, explained the reason why he believes believers should stop calling the Lord Jesus, 'the Lion of Judah'.

According to Torah, the Israelite tribe of Judah consists of the descendants of Judah, the fourth son of Jacob. Today, many believers explain the 'Lion' in the quote to mean the power and courage that exist with Christ.

Why did Pastor Abel Damina say Jesus is not the Lion of the tribe of Judah?

According to the Pastor from the video, Lion is a negative term; 2 Timothy 4:17, Hebrews 11:33 & 1 Peter 5:8. The pastor went further to say that Jesus is the lamb of God, and not the Lamp for God.

Pastor Abel Damina from the video: "Jesus is the lamp of God and not the lamp for God; the lamp of God that takes away the sins of the world. Jesus is not the lion of Judah because lion is a negative word.

However, Dr. Abel Damina concluded by saying that the elder that called Jesus the lamp of God in the Bible used the word lion ignorantly.

What is your take on this?
