The Ka'aba is an important building at the Center of the Grand mosque in Mecca (Saudi Arabia). It is the sacred site that is considered by Islamic Adherents to be the House Of Allah and is also the directions Muslims around the world face when performing prayer.

In this article, I'm going to be showing you a throwback photo of the Ka'aba in the year 1890. Check out the picture below.

The religion of Islam has been in existence for almost 1400 years, it is regarded as one of the world's largest religions with a population of 1.8 billion practitioners. Those that practice the religion are called Muslims and they adhere strictly to the word of God and that teachings of his Noble Messenger Muhammad (May peace and blessings be upon him).

According to Islamic teachings, the religion is built on five pillars, and they are:

1. Faith

2. Observing The five daily Prayers

3. Giving Alms to the poor out of one's wealth

4. Fasting during the month of Ramadan.

5. And pilgrimage to the Holy House of Allah in Mecca.

These five pillars are what Muslims around the world strictly adhere to as it is fundamentals of their religion. That's the reason why going on a pilgrimage to the Holy Mosque in Mecca (Saudi Arabia) is a very important religious journey in the life of a Muslim.
