3 Importance of Zakaat According to Qur'an

Benefits of Charity (Sadaqah)

Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah continue to be with him) once said:

"There is no day to be met by the servants except two angels are descending, one of whom said: 'Oh, Allah, give reward to those who benefit.' While the other (angel) says: 'Oh, and Allah, give destruction to those who restrain (their wealth)'. "

(Hadith by Bukhari and Muslim)

Charity (Sadaqah) is not only about giving a part of the property to those who need it, but the benefits of the charity will be more felt by those who do it.

Getting Reward in Return

Every good deed done sincerely will be rewarded by Allah (swt) This includes giving and donating charity to those in need.

Allah the Exalted says in the Qur'an in connection to Charity:

"There is no good in most of their whispers, except the whisperings of those who sent (men) to charity, or to do well or to make peace between men. And whoever does this for seeking the pleasure of Allah, then we will give him a great reward". (Chapter of the women : verse 114)

Strengthening Faith and Getting more Close to Allah

If we give charity for the sake of Allah surely boost our belief in Him.

By donating charity, one can also get closer to Allah because Allah loves His servants who give much for His sake.

Growing Sustenance and Blessings

Whatever you give to others, Allah will replace it with something better than what you gave in return.

It is not a loss to give and to help others. Surely Allah will give the blessings of better sustenance for the good things we do. If it does not replace the equivalent, it will be replaced with good health, prosperity in the family, happiness in work etc. Indeed, the sustenance of Allah is very large and endless.
