The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor W.F Kumuyi spoke about the major things that Christians ought to preach about during a latest meeting with the workers and ministers in the church. In his first point he spoke about "The charge before the faithful and impartial judge" He gave them the charge in 2 Timothy 4:2 which says
"Preach the word, be instant in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine"
This is the Divine charge Jesus Christ gave to Christians before he left this earth and as Ministers, the man of God urged us to take this charge very seriously. He also urged them to preach the gospel on a daily basis as they await the second coming of Christ.
The man of God then have them the major things they could preach about as they go about this divine mandate. He also read from the book of Luke 24:47 which says
"And that repentance and remission of sin should be preached in his name among all nations, begining in Jerusalem"
The man of God however mentioned major topics that ministers should preach as they carry out their Divine Charge. Their preachings are not to be limited to this one's that will be mentioned but they are just picked out from the one he mentioned. There are definitely still other important things one could preach about. So some of the things he mentioned are
1. Salvation (most important)
2. Sanctification (it comes after salvation)
3. Holy Ghost Baptism (This experience should come after sanctification)
4. Marriage (both for the old and young)
5. Family (General living )
In conclusion, there are other very much important topics that one could preach about. Prosperity and Success are also very important. More importantly, we should be very careful as we preach because we need to prepare souls for the kingdom of God
