Worshipers at the Grand Mosque performed Tarawih prayers for the sixteenth night of the blessed month of Ramadan, amid an integrated system of services, intensive precautionary and health measures, and the participation of a number of officials in the General Presidency and security leaders of the Grand Mosque.
The first part of the prayers was led by one of the Imams of the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Bandar Baleelah while famous Quran reciter and President General of the Haram, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sudais led the latter part of the prayers.
The Imams scheduled to lead the Tarawih prayers later tonight i.e the 17th night are Sheikh Shuraim and Sheikh Doussary. While Shuraim leads the first six parts, Sheikh Doussary will complete the other 4 parts.

In other news relating to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the country witnessed a heavy downpour of rain yesterday.
The authorities had earlier warned people about heavy rain and thunderstorms in cities like Makkah, Madinah, Al Baha, Jazan, Najran with possible flooding in the Eastern Province, Riyadh and Qassim as well as light rains across towns like Jawf, Tabuk, and the Northern Borders.
