3 Things God Does Not Want You To Do To His Spirit.

There are some things God doesn't want his children to do to his Spirit, and this is because he has been given to them as a seal till the day of their redemption (Ephesians 4:30) and he is also a proof that they belong to Christ (Romans 8:9), and according to John 6:63 and John 16:13, it is the Spirit that quickens and also guides into all truth, and he also makes intercession for God's children according to the will of God, and doing the things God doesn't want you to do to his Spirit is sin and since he (the Spirit) is God, Matthew 12:31 reveals that any sin against the Spirit of God will not be forgiven, and for this reason, I want to share with you the three things God doesn't want you to do to his Spirit.

Here are three things God does not want you to do to his Spirit.

1. God does not want you to lie to his Spirit. Since the Spirit of God is the Spirit of truth (John 14:17) and he is also God (Acts 5:4), lying to him is a sin because Proverbs 6:17 and Proverbs 12:22 reveals that God hates a lying tongue or lying lips and both are abomination to him. In acts 5:3, Peter told Ananias that he has not lied to men but to God, and in verse 5 of the same chapter, Ananias fell down and died, which means he was not forgiven because he lied to the Spirit of God.

2. God does not want you to grieve his Spirit. According to Ephesians 4:30, you should not grieve the Holy Spirit of promise by whom you have been sealed to the day of redemption. Rebellion and disobedience to God's commandments are things that grieve the Spirit of God when he warns and reproof, but one does not yield to his warning. When he corrects you, and you don't listen but keep doing those things he doesn't want you to do, you grieve him.

3. God does not want you to quench his Spirit. According to 1Thessalonians 5:19, you should not quench the Spirit of God. Rejecting the leading of the Spirit in your heart, and also despising prophecies or messages he sends through anointed men of God is an act that will quench him, and this means he will no longer lead or speak to you again.

As a child of God and one who has been blessed with the Holy Spirit, it is important that you do not do the three things listed above which God does not want you to do to his Spirit, so that you can grow in the Lord, enjoy the fellowship of the Spirit, and be acceptable and blessed by God.
