'Some Of You See My Glory But Don't Know The Story' - Pastor Adeboye Throws Shade At Critics

Pastor E. A. Adeboye is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He is known by many as a man of God that the Holy Spirit has empowered to preach and teach the word of God.

It's another Sunday and as usual, Pastor Adeboye was sharing a Sunday message through the church electronic media. People all over the world listened to through cable and internet facilities.

Like the usual practice, the man of God enlightened a message of hope to lift up the souls of people. The topic of his message today was ‘From Lockdown to Leaping Up’, a timely message indeed, especially at this time of covid-19 lockdown when many have been discouraged already.

One of the key things he said was that it takes God to lift up a man and such man must have a unique thing he does for God. He buttressed his point by sharing a story. He said he attended a programme at abroad. During the programme, they were asked to pay offerings in the service. A man stood up and admonished everybody to give a better offering because he is willing to pay double the sum of everyone's offerings has his own offering. Challenged by this, everyone present there had to give beyond their normal offerings. They paid a total of $3.5M, thinking the man would be unable to double it up as his own offerings.

Shockingly, the man felt disappointed in them and asked if that's all what the 17,000 people can do. He paid double of what 17,000 people dropped. Pastor Adeboye was Motivated by this man and had to follow him after the service. He asked the man about his secret to financial breakthrough, and the man said, ' I have made God my senior partner in my business. I collect 10% of money the company makes every month while I pay 90% as my tithe'. Pastor Adeboye learnt from this and says this is part of the things he has done to remain successful.

Pastor Adeboye addressed those saying different things about him after sharing the story, saying "Some of you see the Glory and don't know the story". He slightly talked about those criticizing him for his lifestyle, monitoring his success, telling them that they don't know how he got to where he is today.

He also stressed the necessity of depending on God by talking about Peter. He concluded by saying, "If you would allow God into your boat, not only will he prosper you but move you to higher ground".

Once again, Happy Sunday and have a fruitful week ahead. Don't forget to follow us for more updates.
