Just a few hours ago, Senior Pastor of the living faith Church Worldwide (Winner's Chapel) has taken to his official Instagram page to disclose that it's one's job to honor his or her parents. He also added that you cannot be eating turkey, beef, chicken, fish, and all kinds of delicious meals, while your parents are out there virtually starving.
In this article, I'll be sharing some Bible references to back it up that we should always honor our parents and the elder ones.
Bishop David Oyedepo is a Nigerian preacher, founder and presiding Bishop of the mega Church faith terbanacle in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, and living faith Church Worldwide popularly known as Winners.
Do you believe with me that it's our right to honor our parents, this is because they deserve it and because the Lord himself cannot live on earth, he created parents. Parents are a form of god on this planet which we live, mind you it's not only our parents, we should always honor the elders too. There are countless things they did for you and you will never be able to pay back for their favor.
Note; if only you honor your parents, your kids will honor you.
While sharing this, he wrote
It's your job to honor your parents, you can't change them; it's too late! When you stop honoring them, God says, "I will dishonor you." You cannot be eating turkey, beef, chicken, fish and all kinds of delicious meals, while your parents are out there virtually starving!

Below are some Bible references about honoring our parents
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise)
Cursed be anyone who dishonors his father or his mother.’ And all the people shall say, Amen.
Please try to honor your parents if you have not been doing so. God bless you.
