You will recall that the state Governor,Kayode Fayemi in a live broadcast some weeks ago ordered the reopening of mosques as from July, 17 and Churches as from July, 19 but the state government rescinded its earlier decision to reopen places of worship because of alleged inability of the worship centres to meet the prescribed conditions for reopening.
The state Commissioner for Health,Dr(Mrs) Mojisola Yahaya-Kolade who reiterated the commitment of the state government to the welfare and health of the people of Ekiti state ,Southwest, Nigeria said preparations are on top gear for churches and mosques to reopen on the new date.
she was quick to add that only places of worship that comply with the preventive measures to contain the further spread of the ravaging Coronavirus otherwise known as COVID-19 will be issued certificate of fitness to reopen.
What do you think about the postponement of church and mosque reopening?
