4 Steps To Receive The Baptism Of The Holy Ghost

In the book of Acts 1: 8, the Bible tells us about the benefits of having the holy spirit in our lives. Jesus Christ already promised to send us the comforter and it was confirmed in that particular verse. And you shall receive power after that the holy spirit comes upon you. Here are four ways by which you can receive the Holy Ghost Baptism-

1. You need to thirst for it

Before you can receive the Holy Ghost baptism, you need to first of all thirst for it. You should have a strong desire for it and be willing to accept it by prayer. It is only something you ask for that will be given to you and you need to ask God for it. Jesus Christ went to meet John the Baptist to be baptized. He showed his desire for it.

Read Isaiah 44:3, John 7:37,39.

2. Pray For A New Heart

You have to pray to receive a new heart, a heart of flesh, a renewal of the stony heart, and a circumcised heart. Someone with a heart of sin and a stony heart cannot receive the Holy Ghost so you need to deal with those and accept something new from the Lord. Then the Holy Spirit can come upon you.

Read Ezekiel 36:26,27.

3. You Need To Have Faith

You also need to have faith before prayer. Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. This means that you need to have faith in God and be expectant of the Holy Spirit. Believe in your heart and it shall be established.

Read Galatians 3:2,14, Mark 11: 22,24.

4. Pray To Receive

Your desire for it and the faith you have to receive can only be established through prayer. If you desire for the spirit and you don't pray, there is no way you can get it. You need to put your faith into action and ask God In Prayer.

Read Luke 11:13.

In conclusion, as long as you are born again and sanctified, you need to thirst for the Holy Ghost baptism and God will grant it unto you in Jesus' name.
