Heaven is a place that is prepared for a particular group of people. They are people who live righteously and holy while on earth and those who obtained mercy from God. It is not a place for the majority but it is a place you should not miss. Here are 5 top Biblical figures we will meet in heaven.
1. Enoch (Genesis 5:24)
Enoch is a biblical figure before Noah's flood and the son of Jared. He is the father of Methuselah, the oldest man to ever lived and also lived during a period when there was evil on earth. He didn't participate in the evil as he remained a just man. So God took him and he did not awe death. There is no doubt that he is in heaven.
2. Elijah (2 King 2:11)
Elijah was the prophet in Israel when Ahab was the King. He was a strict servant and the mouthpiece of God. He is another man who did not see death as he was taken by the Chariot of Fire to heaven. He also united with Jesus at the Mount of Transfiguration and that makes it very fact that he is in heaven.
3. Abraham (Luke 16:19-31)
Father Abraham was also a just man on earth, despite his riches. He is currently in heaven because Jesus made mention of that when he was talking about the Rich man and Lazarus. Lazarus was taken to Abraham's bosom while the Rich man went to Hell.
4. Moses (Deuteronomy 34:5-6)
Moses died in the land of Moab and the Lord buried him in a valley in that same Land. However, Moses also united with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration and that clearly shows that he is in heaven. We will surely meet him there.
5. The Robber On The Cross (Luke 23:43)
Despite spending his whole life in sin, the robber received favour at the point of death. "Verily I say unto thee, Today, shalt thou be with me in Paradise," Jesus assured him after his wise use of his mouth. While he will be in heaven, the other thief will be burning in hell. What's the difference? The use of the tongue.
