Why is studying stars forbidden in islam?

Alhamdulillah, the study of astrology(study of stars) is forbidden in Islam upon condition,

If one study the stars to tell the future of event of what will happen tomorrow, it is forbidden in Islam for a person to be in that field.

But if one studies to stars to explore the wonders of Allah s.w.t and to know about his creations, it is allowed in Islam.

Because the pagans used to look at stars to tell the future which today is called horoscope.

The messenger of Allah s.a.w said,

The stars is shirk. Ibn Abbas narrated it.

So lets be cautions.

When the pagans see the stars the say this will happen this and that.

Also cursing time or days is haraam in Islam.

The messenger of Allah s.a.w said,

Do not insult time for Allah is ad dhahr(time). Saheeh.

Allah says in Quran about the atheists and pagans saying who does not believe in resurrection,

Al-Jasiyah 45:24

And they say, There is not but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time. And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming.

May Allah guides our eeman. Aameen
