It's good for you to let go of your anger and forgive, but forgetting isn't required or even necessarily healthy. True forgiveness doesn't erase the wrongdoing but rather frees the person who was hurt. So forgetting has nothing to do with real forgiveness.
Reno Omokri made a tweet on this earlier. According to him, it is good to forgive people and leave them to God, but it is foolish to forget what they are capable of.
Reno stated that Delilah destroyed Samson because he forgave her without forgetting what she is capable of doing.
In his words;
“It is good to forgive people and leave them to God. However, it is foolish to forget what they are capable of. Samson forgave Delilah the first, second, and third time. But Delilah destroyed him the fourth time because he foolishly forgot what she was capable of.”

Do you agree with Reno?
