You wonder atimes why some believers are making it in life, while some are living in abject poverty. It is not the will of God that we should poor but sometimes we determine our faith. If you follow and obey the will and promises of God, He will surely not leave you nor forsake you. However, here are reasons why God leaves some believers in financial poverty:
1. Lazy & Slothful In Business
In Romans 12:11, the Bible says: "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord."
Laziness is a major reason why God abandons some people and leaves them to suffer poverty. They are neither fervent in spirit nor fervent in their place of work. They are slothful and not even useful to themselves. If you're in this category, you have to be careful.
2. Financially Unfaithful At Work And To God
In In Luke 16:11, the Bible says: "So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?"
You will definitely not get God's blessings if you remain unfaithful in everything you do. These group are unfaithful and not trustworthy in their places of work and in their businesses. It will also be difficult for them to be faithful in the things of God.
3. Too Smart To Listen To God’s Direction On Financial Issues
In Prov 4:5, the Bible says: "Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them."
Some people feel they are too smart and they won't listen and obey the word of the Lord. They are just so adamant and will not listen to the words of the Lord. For them to enjoy God's blessings, they should humble themselves before God and man.
4. No Plan Or Work That God Can Bless
In Psalms 1:3, the Bible says: "That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither- whatever they do prospers."
Some person have no work and they're expecting God's blessings. God is blessing those who have works and they sit in faith, waiting for God's blessing. God need to see you doing something and then He will be proud enough to bless the works of your hands.
5. They Desire But Do Not Ask
In James 4:2, the Bible says: "You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God."
These category of people really desire riches but they find it difficult to ask. He has asked us to ask and if we really need financial help from God, we need to ask Him. it is very important
