Dr Paul Enenche, the founder and presiding Pastor of the Abuja-based Dunamis International Gospel Centre has taken to his official Facebook page to share the video of a message he delivered on why the church must be very concerned about the leaders that are elected to rule them.
According to the cleric, from 1:50 of the video, he has shared four reasons why believers and the church must be concerned and eager to have things to do with those that are elected to rule them.
Below are the reason, as shared by the cleric;
1. Government make policies that affect society; the church is also a part and parcel of society. Everybody in society, including the church and the members there, is at the receiving end of the government's policies.
2. Government's failure places a high burden of care and responsibility on the church as a religious and charity institution; according to the cleric, when people cannot pay for their house rent or children's school fees, they do not go to the government but rather, it is then Church they come to for help.
3. Government's inability and incapacity leading to insecurity and unrest places a high responsibility of the society on the church; sometimes, the government's inability and incapability to make and foster some policies that would enable the good welfare of the people necessitates the church's concern in the person that is placed as the leader of the nation.
4. Government policies sometimes prevent religious activities thus leading to persecution; according to the cleric, this poses a great threat to the existence of the church as a whole.
