One of the most important privileges which God has given to his children is to rule as kings and serve him as priests, and this is because he (God) is a King and his only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) is made both a king and a high priest to him, and according to Romans 8:29, God has predestinated his children to be conformed to the image of his Son Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29). This means that God destined his children to be like his son who is a king and a high priest, and this is one of the reasons why he has given his Holy Spirit to reveal his glory to them and change them into the same image (Jesus Christ) from glory to glory so that they can be kings and priests unto God.

Since Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life, and he is also a king and priest, and rules by his word backed with power and as well atone for the sins of the world, he wants his children to know his word and access his power so that they can rule or reign as kings, and also reconcile the world to God as a priest by speaking and preaching the word of God which is truth, so that people can know the truth and be made free by it, and as well confess their sins and receive God's forgiveness, and Revelation 1:6 reveals something deep about it which I want to share with you in this article.
Here is the deeper meaning of Revelation 1:6.
According to the first part of the Bible passage above, " He lets us rule as kings and serve God his Father as priests.", this means that he (Jesus Christ) lets everyone who has confessed him as Lord and believe that God has raised Him from the dead, to rule as kings and also serve God his Father as priests, by giving them the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth, and since God's word is truth, and God being a king rules by his word backed with his power, he (God) wants them to know his word (truth) and power, and also rule by it. Since God reconciles us to him through his son Jesus Christ, he also wants us as priests to reconcile the world to him and this is the reason why he has given the ministry of reconciliation to us (2Corinthians 5:18).
" To him be glory and power forever and ever! Amen." This second part of the Bible passage means that glory and power belong to God alone forever and ever. According to Psalm 19:1-2, God's glory is his knowledge, and Psalm 62:11 confirms that power belongs to God, and Isaiah 40:29 reveals that God gives power to the faint, and Psalm 84:11 tells us that God gives grace and glory. This means that glory and power belong to God forever, and he gives them to his children so that they can rule as kings and serve him as priests.
