Biblical Verses That Explains Why People Die

There are many reasons why people die and as humans, we will all die one day. The kind of life we live here on earth will determine the kind of life we will live after we die. It is either you are in Heaven or you are in Hell. It is your decision to make. However, here are 3 Biblical reasons why people die:

1. Sin

In Romans 6:23 the Bible says:

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Many people die today because of the things they do with their hands. Sin is however the fastest killer because you have given your life totally to the devil and he can take it anytime he likes. Just like the Bible says, the wages of sin is death.

2. Fulfilment

In 2 Timothy 4:6-7, the Bible says

"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith"

After spending many years working for God, Paul was ready to die because according to him, he had finished his course and had kept his faith. Another reason why people die is fulfillment which means that they have spent their life serving God and they know that it is time for them to go home and meet the Savior.

3. Persecution

In Matthew 5:10 the Bible says:

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven"

Christians also die from persecution as they translate to glory. Many of our Fathers in the Lord in the Bible died due to persecution and Heaven will definitely be their reward. You should be ready to die for Christ because there is nothing to gain in this world. Strive to the end and God will never disappoint you.

In conclusion, in as much as we want to live a good life here on Earth, we should also live with eternity in focus. It is very important
