A Nigerian businessman told a Christian friend, "Even if you throw a bomb into that house, it will not collapse." He was referring to the elegant bungalow he had just built in an estate. He spent much on the foundation and reared up the walls in the best building engineering practices. Jesus also said, "I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18). Jesus is the foundation of the Church. The Bible says, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 3:11). However, in Church ministry, the Holy Spirit uses leaders, like Moses, the prophets and Paul, to lay foundations (1 Corinthians 3:9,10). Paul laid solid foundations of Church doctrines, righteousness, administration and service.
But some false preachers are weakening the foundation of doctrines today. They preach eternal security, divorce and remarriage, immoral relationships, worldliness, etc. You can strengthen the weak foundations by holding on to the Word of God as you have been taught and teaching same to other faithful believer youths.
