What My Pastor Taught Me About Not Loosing My Salvation When I Sin.(With Scriptures)

Good morning everyone, I have been thinking about what my pastor taught in church that I can't really wrap my head around it. It's about not loosing your salvation when you sin. I know like the Bible says. "the way of the lord is mysterious" which means we cannot use our worldly minds and wisdom to probe God's word. However before I go on, Let me drop these two Verses:

1. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

2. Romans 11 vs 2 "For God’s gifts and calling never change"

First of all, I loved the way he said by grace we are saved and it is not what we really do or contributed that gave us salvation but it's God's gift he gives to us when we commit out lives to him. And if salvation is God's gift it should therefore mean that God's gift to us in salvation will never change no matter what happened.

Another Point he highlighted was that:

#for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (rom3vs23)

#Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:(rom5vs12)

#And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing(1cor 13vs 3). :

If we became sinners even without committing sin (taking about Adam's sin passed on to us as the original sin), and while we were sinners no matter the amount of good we do we our good didn't make us righteous, even so now that we are children of God sin does not make us sinners but believers that have sinned, and that we do not loose our salvation but that we can go back in prayers and ask for forgiveness and God will forgive us.

In addition to his message he said:

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

That sometimes our heart will keep condemning us even after God has forgiven us. 1 John 1vs 20-21

#For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

#21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

That we must not listen to what our hearts is saying but to what God is saying.

But my question is: from all these is it true that when u sin you do not loose your salvation? Please drop your kind comments. Thank you.
