Pastor W. F Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church spoke about what true fellowship means to his church workers. Fellowship should be quite feasible between the Saints, God and our ministers in church. We should develop a direct relationship with them as we journey in life. He spoke of the need to Learn from them and read from the book of Philipians 3: 17 which says
" Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. "
The Man of God however urges his workers to learn from their ministers. He asked them never to despise any leader because some of the servants are more of a Teacher than an Evangelist while some others are more of an Evangelist that a teacher, so we need to learn from them. He said sometimes a leader is not talking, he is just sitting down quietly; we can equally learn from his humility, conduct and wisdom. Some leaders are quite more older and experience than the workers, you don' t despise them but you love them.
We also need to put into practice all we have learnt from the mouth of our leaders. It is very important because they are the mouth piece of God and His spokesman. We should not allow our ego and pride to deny us from enjoying the true word of God from their mouth. That was why Paul told the church in Philippi that all they have learnt and seen in him, they should keep it and practice it and God will be with them.
In conclusion, there will be a crooked fellowship if we refuse the words of our ministers and as our father in the Lord has taught us, we have to be obedience and God will help us in Jesus name. Amen.
