Muslims: Read the Life history of Abubakar the first Succesor of the Prophet.

Abubakar was by name Abukar bin Abi Quhafah Ibn Abat Allah Ibn Sahr from the clan of Banutamima Quraysh by descent. He was born in Makkah. He is two years younger than Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, he was merchants and wealthy among the Makkans. He was a good character and habit as a friend to the prophet from their youth. He was the first to embrace Islam during prophet mission and help humanly and wealthy to the prophet. 

Abu Bakr was a senior companion (Sahabah) and the father-in-law of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. He ruled over the Rashidun Caliphate from 632-634 CE when he became the first Muslim Caliph following Muhammad's death.

Through him some notable Arab accepted Islam. He participated at the Battle of Badr, Uhud, the Ditch and others. He represented the prophet in leading the Muslims in prayers when the prophet fall sick. 

After his selection as a Khalifah, he distinguished himself in various aspects. He sent out the army of Usama to the antonish of the senior Sahaba. He engaged the back sliders as a protract battles even though some Sahaba held contrary views. He also ordered for the compilation of the Quran on the advice of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab. 


1. His successful compilation of the Quran on the advice of Umar. 

2. He was successful in keeping the unity among Muslims ummah despite revolts and pastacy from the Arabs. 

3. His success and determined effort in sending out the army of Usman prepared for Tabuk expedition by the prophet before he fell sick.
