He made this known during the Sunday service of today, 19th July 2020. He titled the sermon, FROM LOCKDOWN TO LEAPING UP. part 6, a series he started a few weeks ago.
Pastor Adeboye in his sermon, said if you want to go higher in life, your must consider the following requirements.
(1) Before you take off to higher height, you must consider landing, why must you settle the issue of landing before taking off? He said it is because, it is very dangerous to become an ex-successful person. Ecclesiastes 7:8, the man of God said, it is better to be an ordinary person, than to have been at the top of prosperity, and then loose it, and become poor again.
2nd Chronicles 26:3-21, talks about a man, who became king at age 12, but , because he was not ready for success,he lost his prosperity and became a leper.
He gave another example in Genesis 46:8-20, how Ephraim became successful at a young age and he started worshipping his riches, and God abandoned him, he advised that you should seat down and count the cost of Success, because, the taller the Tower, the deeper the foundation must be. Luke 14:28-30.
(2) You must make God as your senior partner.Genesis28:10-22. Jacob made God his senior partner and God blessed him, even though people Wonder why God will bless Jacob, after stealing from his brother Esau, but pastor Adeboye said, Jacob didn't steal but bought from his brother. That it was a trade by batter, Easu his brother traded his birthright for food.
If you make God your senior partner, He will be giving you visions on how to succeed in your every day Life. He told a story of one of his sons.
He said this son of his was a graduate but didn't have a job, then he prayed and God told him to start frying and selling bean cake (Akara) from then he became successful.
He concluded the sermon by encouraging everyone to surrender all to God, and that God will bless us so much and our blessings will last forever.
