Why It Is Not Good For Christians To Borrow Money - Bishop Oyedepo Reveals

Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, has revealed why it is not good for Christians to borrow money. He gave this revelation during his sermon at the second day of the Week Of Spiritual Emphasis.

He revealed that God showed him this truth during a deep study of the word. He explained that he saw in Deuteronomy 28 that a believer was to be a lender to many nations and not a borrower.

"I saw and thou shall lend to many nations and thou shall not borrow," he said.

When he asked God why this was so, God replied and told him that the borrower was a servant to the lender, and nobody can serve two masters.

"He said, because the borrower is a servant to the lender, and you cannot serve two masters, for you shall hate one and love the other. From that day I refused to be the borrower," he said.

He explained that to show how serious the decision was to him, he wrote it down and signed that he would never borrow.

"I have never stood before any man's door to see what he can give me," he said.
