FG to Vaccinate Christians in Churches

The Federal Government of Nigeria declared its plan on Tuesday to take Covid 19 Vaccination to Churches and worship centres.

This was disclosed by the executive director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency Faisal Shuaib during a sensitization of Christian leaders on the second phase of the Covid 19 Vaccination in Abuja.

It must be commended that the plan to take the Covid 19 Vaccination is a step in the right direction. However it should also be said here that vaccination of Christians in Churches should be optional and not mandatory. As making the Vaccination mandatory will be an infringement on the right of Nigerian Christians.

It's okay for the Federal Government of Nigeria to take the Vaccination to the Church or Christian Worship centres but it's not okay if Christians will be forcefully vaccinated.

One of the merits of bringing the Covid Vaccination to Christian Worship centres according to Faisal Shuaib the Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency is for the vaccines to be easily accessible to people who may not have difficulty in accessing the vaccines.

Another side to this story on why the Federal Government is taken this Covid 19 Vaccination to Christian Worship centres is that Christians will believe that the vaccines are safe once their pastors or General Overseers tells them so.
