Meaning that he did not begin the High Priest when he became flesh. This shows that He is a High priest even before he became flesh. As we see from the order of Melchizedek saying that the king of righteousness is eternal. Hebrews 7:17 says "For he testifieth, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec.
Speaking further from the scripture he read he said "The Lord is speaking through David the king and the son. He is speaking about the Lord Jesus who came in the flesh to fulfill the promise. Hebrews 2:7-8 says "Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honor, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that, he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
