4 Key observations made during RCCG Independence Day Thanksgiving Service

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) today, Sunday, October 2, 2021 held a 'Thanksgiving Service' in commomeration of Nigeria's 61st Independence Day celebrations. The Thanksgiving Worship Service which was held at the at Ebute Meta, the national headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God was tagged: "Divine Involvement." It was attended by traditional rulers, government functionaries and other top dignitaries.

During the Service, many observations were made during the service which was hosted by the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye. Below are some of the observations made during RCCG Independence Day thanksgiving service held at the National headquarters, Ebute Meta, today.

1. Lagos State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, was present at the Worship Service:

One of the observation during the Service was the presence of the Lagos State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his wife at the Service. The Governor was in attendance with some of his cabinet members at the Independence Day Thanksgiving Service organized by the Redeemed Christian Church of God tagged: "Divine Involvement."

The General Overseer, Pastor Adeboye welcomed and appreciated the State Governor and his entourage for attending the Service to mark the Independence Day of the nation.

2. The congregation sang the national anthem before the General Overseer of the Church climbed the pulpit:

Another observation was the singing of the Nigeria national anthem in the Church by the congregations and guests at the Service.

Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu was seen leading the singing of the national anthem as he laid his hand on his chest.

The big national flag was displayed behind the pulpit and the Church was decorated with green and while balloons at the strategic points in the Church, which made the Church look more attractive and beautiful.

3. Many traditional rulers attended the Church Service:

At the Thanksgiving Service, there were traditional rulers in attendance. The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adeboye appreciated and welcomed them to the special thanksgiving to mark the Independence Day of the nation.

He encouraged them to always service the people at in the fear of God.

4. Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye took time to pray for the leaders in different parts of the country:

Before he began his preaching, the General Overseer took his time to pray for the country. He asked God to deliver the country from every setback and make Nigeria a great nation before other countries.
