The Imam of the holy mosque Prof Sheikh Hassan Ibn Hamid Al-Bukhari paid a courtesy visit to the executive governor of Kano state. The Imam was accompanied by top scholars from Ummul Qura university. During the visit, the delegation of scholars honored the executive governor of Kano state, Mr Ganduje, for his commitment and dedication to serving Islam.
The delegation arrived in Nigeria on the invitation of Bayero university. The team of scholars is expected to partner with the prestigious university in order to train scholars, lecturers and students. This is the fourth time that the government of Saudi Arabia is organising a special training for the students in Bayero university Kano.
The governor of Kano organized a warm reception to welcome the dignitaries. He appreciated the efforts made by the Islamic clerics in promoting human capital development in the country. Some government officials in attendance include the chief of staff and other executive aides.
