The Pastor and General Overseer of God's Kingdom Church Worldwide, Rev. Dr. Stephen Sharang has countered the assertions of Reno Omokri on Polygamy. The clergyman whose biblical insight on marital issues transcends the ordinary understanding of marriage as often preached in most Christian churches, was reacting to an article titled " Reno Omokri: “I Don't Know If Polygamy Is A Sin.” Hear him.
Polygamy not to be compared with adultery
Where there is no law there is no sin. Romans 4:15. Polygamy fulfils the biblical definition of marriage, The wisest man who ever lived (1 Kings 3:12) said, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing."(Proverbs 31:10) Who's to say it's an evil thing to find more than one? God doesn't say it, and neither should we.
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13:4

What does the Bible mean when it say's each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband?
Have you ever had people speak confidently about Monogamy being the only acceptable form of marriage before God in a way that demeans the other God ordained form of marriage, acceptable before God-Polygyny? In an attempt to justify their ignorance and position, they quote 1 Cor. 1:7.

What the above verses of Scriptures mean is that every marriage is unique. A man married to more than one wife is married to his own wife and she to her own husband in each of his marriages. No wonder this point was re- iterated in the book of Songs of Solomon (6 vs 3) quoted above, "My beloved is mine and I am my beloveds". Remember, He had a thousand of them and dealt with each as a separate and unique marriage. In case you are wondering whether Concubines are also wives, the answer is a resounding Yes. Judges 20:4 And the Levite, the husband of the woman that was slain, answered and said, I came into Gibeah that belongeth to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.
I am aware that over the Centuries Bible Scholars and Theologians have attempted to explain the intendment of the Book of Songs of Songs by asserting that the Book is an allegorical representation of the relationship between Christ and His Church. True, this position is definitely one, the other being that two lovers were just expressing their love for each other (in the Company of friends, so to speak) in a dramatized fashion.
