5 Bible Verses That Support The Use Of Jewelleries

There have been many misconceptions about the use of jewelry. The Bible has a lot to say about whether it should be used or not. It depends on your conviction because there is no portion of the Bible that says that if you use jewelries, you will go to hell. Here are 5 Bible that supports the use of Jewelleries:

1. Ezekiel 16:11

"I adorned you with ornaments, put bracelets on your hands and a necklace around your neck."

This is the word of God to the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the Old testament. Whether figuratively or literally, the Lord adorned them with ornaments.

2. Ezekiel 16:12

"I also put a ring in your nostril, earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head."

This is also God speaking to the inhabitants of Jerusalem through prophet Ezekiel. The Lord has treated them like his bride and put beautiful jewelries upon them, but they still sinned against God.

3. Ezekiel 16:17

"You also took your beautiful jewels made of My gold and of My silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself male images that you might play the harlot with them."

Here, the Lord is angry with the children of Israel because they took the jewels made of gold and silver that he gave them and made for themselves male images that they slept with

4. Luke 15:22

But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.

This is the parable that Jesus told about the prodigal son. After many years of leaving home, his father was happy and ordered that a ring should but be on his hand

5. Song of Solomon 1:10-11

“Your cheeks are lovely with ornaments, your neck with strings of beads. We will make for you ornaments of gold with beads of silver"

We all know the book of Song of Solomon as a book that talks about love, romance and an appraisal of beauty. So talking about jewelleries will be inevitable.

In conclusion, as a Christian, if you are truly born again, you should follow your conscience. The Bible ask us to dress modestly and wearing some of these jewelries may not even make our dressing modest. We have to be careful and do away with anything that will make us miss the rapture. It is very important.
