According to a popular saying, there is a supportive woman behind every Successful Man in life. This is one of the reasons behind the astronomical growth of churches in Nigeria. Pastors are usually careful in their selection of a life partner because they occupy a sensitive spiritual position. A Pastor's wife is the spiritual mother of the church. She has the responsibility to take care of the flock even in the absence of her husband. Below are some Nigerian women that took over the church after the death of their husband.
1.Bishop Margaret Idahosa
Pastor Margaret is one of the most respected Women of God in Africa. She is the General Overseer of a ministry known as Church of God Mission International. This lovely woman is a fiery preacher of the gospel of Christ with lots of branches all over the world. Her church is a 5000 capacity auditorium where multiple religious services are held on a weekly basis. According to her biography, Margaret has travelled to over 140 Nations in her quest of spreading the Gospel. She was the wife of the Late Archbishop Benson Idahosa.

Mrs Evelyn is the wife of the renowned Nigerian man of God known as Prophet T.B Joshua. She is a gentle, lovely, gentle and Kind-hearted woman. Although She wasn't very active during the lifetime of her husband but she is quite anointed. She learnt from the very best on the intricacies that are associated with running a church. Pastor Evelyn is now the new leader of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
